Vinyasa

This practice of yoga focuses on activating the mind-body connection through breath, elevated heart rate, and physically challenging sequence of postures.

Restorative

This meditative form of passive yoga releases tension and stress through awakening the parasympathetic nervous system with extended holds, props, and breathwork.

Hatha

The perfect pairing does exist. In this class, we’ll meticulously align every breath (pranayama) with a posture (asana) to help you release tension and calm your mind.

Hatha Vinyasa -

This class focuses on using the mind-body-breath connection to flow through a physically challenging sequence of postures. The class style stems from Hatha Yoga principles of pranic flow (energy movement in the body) and, culminates in the unified state of yoga ‘peaceful body/ peaceful mind’. It moves through an intelligent sequence which builds progressively throughout the hour and offers options for students at all levels, from beginner to advanced. This class is an equal balance of strengthening and stretching to balance mind and body.

Yoga for Runners

Yoga is the perfect cross training for runners! Improve flexibility, strength, and mental focus without taking away from your running schedule! Come stretch with us for 45 mins after your Sunday morning run to increase mobility in your hips, knees and ankles. Yoga invites you to stretch the muscles that support those joints, like hamstrings, glutes, quads and calves.

Also learn techniques for how to use yoga to condition your stabilizing muscles— building strength and stability using your body weight. Yoga poses that require you to stand, lunge and squat can help you develop strength in your lower body.

When you run, you mostly go in one direction (forward) through a series of repeated actions. Mix it up through yoga, moving your body through multiple planes of motion, ultimately making you a fitter, and faster runner, less prone to injury and more powerful on race day!
